Felice, West Palm Beach, Florida

If you are looking for a cozy and elegant place to enjoy some authentic Italian cuisine, you might want to check out Felice Wine Bar and Ristorante, a new addition to the West Palm Beach dining scene. Felice is a sister restaurant of Sant Ambroeus, and it offers a variety of dishes that showcase the flavors and traditions of Italy. Felice has a rustic and charming ambience with indoor and outdoor seating options, valet or public parking nearby, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff that will make you feel welcome and pampered. The restaurant also has a lively bar area where you can sip on some fine wines or cocktails, but if you prefer a quieter and more intimate setting, you can ask for a table away from the bar.

The food at Felice is delicious and satisfying with generous portions and reasonable prices for the quality. You can start your meal with some appetizers such as the Ahi Tuna Tartare with avocado rosettes which was beautifully presented and split in the kitchen for two of my dining companions without any extra charge. See first two food photos.

You can also try some of their salads which are fresh and flavorful, and can be topped with a protein of your choice for only $4+. The Roasted Beet salad with crispy kale, goat cheese mousse, toasted pistachios from Sicily and rosemary dressing was a delight for the eyes and the palate. My friend had the Tricolore Lettuce salad with avocado and mozzarella, drizzled with some tasty exquisite olive oil. See photos below.

They are especially known for their pasta dishes. They feature eight different pastas on their menu including their Mezzi Rigatoni al Gamberi, which is rigatoni with shrimp and a spicy tomato sauce, and their Ricotta Risotto, which was a special of the night. See the photos below. The risotto was creamy and rich, with a hint of lemon and fresh basil. The pasta portions were generous and filling, but not too heavy.

Another highlight of the menu was the Branzino al Cartoccio, which was a filet of sea bass baked in parchment paper with aromatic fresh herbs. The fish was tender and moist, with a delicate flavor that was enhanced by the herbs. The presentation was also impressive, as the waiter opened the parchment paper at the table and served the fish with a squeeze of lemon.

For the meat lovers, Felice offers the Prime sliced 16 oz. New York Strip Steak, which comes with a choice of a side. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, with a nice char on the outside. The steak was so large that my husband could not finish it all, and took half of it home for later. And no, we do not have a dog!

Felice is a great spot for a romantic dinner or a celebration with friends. The service is attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food is delicious and authentic. I highly recommend it and I will definitely be back soon to try lunch next time.
